DocSeeker – Privacy Policy

DocSeeker is a Windows program that searches the names and contents of files on your own computer. It is built to keep your files private.

What DocSeeker does with your files

• DocSeeker reads the files in the folders you choose (including the files inside .zip, .rar and .7z archives) to build a search index.
• The index, your settings and your search history are stored only on your computer, in DocSeeker's own data folder.
• No file, file name, file content or search word is ever sent anywhere. DocSeeker has no accounts, no tracking, no analytics and no advertising.
• OneDrive files that are online-only are not downloaded; only their names are indexed (unless you choose otherwise in the settings).

Archive passwords

If you save passwords for password-protected archives, they are stored only on your computer, encrypted with Windows' own protection for your user account. They are never sent anywhere.

Internet use

• The version downloaded from the website checks a small public file to tell you when a new version is available. Only a normal web request is made; nothing about you or your files is sent. The Microsoft Store version does not do this, because the Store delivers updates.
• WhatsApp, Telegram, Gmail or a web page are opened only when you choose to share.

Removing your data

Uninstalling DocSeeker removes the program. You can delete the index, settings and saved passwords at any time by deleting DocSeeker's data folder.

DocSeeker برنامج لنظام Windows يبحث في أسماء ومحتوى الملفات الموجودة على جهازك، وقد صُمّم ليحافظ على خصوصية ملفاتك.

ماذا يفعل البرنامج بملفاتك

• يقرأ البرنامج الملفات الموجودة في المجلدات التي تختارها (ومنها الملفات الموجودة داخل الملفات المضغوطة .zip و.rar و.7z) ليبني فهرساً للبحث.
• يُحفظ الفهرس والإعدادات وسجل البحث على جهازك فقط، في مجلد بيانات البرنامج.
• لا يُرسَل أي ملف أو اسم ملف أو محتوى أو كلمة بحث إلى أي جهة. لا توجد حسابات ولا تتبّع ولا إحصاءات ولا إعلانات.
• لا يُنزّل البرنامج ملفات OneDrive غير الموجودة على جهازك، ويفهرس أسماءها فقط (ما لم تختر غير ذلك من الإعدادات).

كلمات مرور الملفات المضغوطة

إذا حفظت كلمات مرور للملفات المضغوطة المحمية، فإنها تُحفظ على جهازك فقط، مشفّرة بحماية Windows الخاصة بحسابك، ولا تُرسل إلى أي مكان.

استخدام الإنترنت

• النسخة التي تُنزَّل من الموقع تتحقق من ملف عام صغير لتخبرك بوجود إصدار جديد، ولا يُرسل أي شيء عنك أو عن ملفاتك. أما نسخة متجر Microsoft فلا تفعل ذلك لأن المتجر يتولى التحديثات.
• لا يُفتح واتساب أو تيليجرام أو Gmail أو أي صفحة ويب إلا عندما تختار المشاركة بنفسك.

حذف بياناتك

إلغاء تثبيت البرنامج يحذفه، ويمكنك حذف الفهرس والإعدادات وكلمات المرور المحفوظة في أي وقت بحذف مجلد بيانات البرنامج.
